Hey everyone, welcome back to #TechniqueTuesday here at Dynamite Kickboxing! Today we’re going to keep things simple, and discuss the difference between a Speed Jab and a Power Jab!
There are tons of Jab Variations in the existence. Speed Jab, Power Jab, Up Jab, the Educated Jab, and much more. Today we’re exploring how we can use a Speed Jab, when to use it, and why you’d use it. Same with the Power Jab, showing you how it’s done, when and why you’d use it! #ComboOfTheDay 3️⃣7️⃣🧨🧨🧨
Hey everyone! Our apologies for the hiatus, but we’re back at with with our Combo of the Day videos! Let’s get right into it! Jab ➡️ Inside Low Kick ➡️ Jab Cross ➡️ Outside Low Kick Today’s combo is a fast, explosive one! We begin by throwing a quick Jab into the Inside Low Kick. The Inside Low Kick is a great kick because it targets the inner thigh which is soft and thus vulnerable to our hard kicks. After the Inside Low Kick, we’re going to follow up with another fast Jab Cross and finish with the Outside Low Kick to punish the lead leg. This is a rapid fire combo that will help you stun your opponent, try it out! Thanks for checking out our videos! If you enjoyed it, please Like and Share it. The global pandemic of COVID 19 has affected so many people. Lives have been lost, businesses have closed, and much more. The latest casualty in the Sports World due to COVID is the cancellation of GLORY 76 due to Kickboxing Great Badr Hari testing positive for the corona virus. In addition, his teammate and Kickboxing Hot Prospect Antonio Plazibat must quarantine due to potential exposure to the virus. Before I say anything else, we here at Dynamite Kickboxing wish Badr Hari a quick and full recovery and that his teammate Antonio Plazibat is healthy as well. 🙏 With that said, it’s my humble opinion that this card should NOT have been cancelled. I understand that Badr is a huge star in Kickboxing, and he brings that star power to his main event clash with Benjamin Adegbuyi. However, I’m positive that a replacement opponent could have been found for Benny. Or, if Benny wanted to wait for Badr, there’s an entire GLORY roster of killers who are dying for an opportunity to compete! The co-main event for the Welterweight Title between Cédric Doumbé and Murthel Groenhart could have been promoted to the Main Event. That is a huge grudge match/money fight that the world wants to see. That’s what the co-main event is for. If the Main Event is ever compromised, you have a backup headliner on deck. And it’s not like it would have affected ticket sales, and this was going to be a crowd less show. In closing, I feel that GLORY should have kept the card in tact. They needed to keep the card on for the fans, for the fighters, and for the sport! It’s been a long time since we got to see a live GLORY event and the Kickboxing Community worldwide needed it. Again, get well soon to Badr and we hope Antonio is healthy as well. We’ll be waiting for the rescheduled fight date. Thanks for checking out the blog everyone! I hope you enjoyed it. However, none of that matters once your mission is accomplished. First they’ll laugh at you, then they’ll copy you. Have a great week everyone, let’s go!
-RD Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning back into the blog! It's been a while, 2 years since my last blog post in fact! Man, time flies. I will be posting content in some way, shape, or form on my blog daily moving forward, please stay tuned!
I wanted to take a moment to talk about what 2020 has been like for me thus far and what the future has in store as well! So BOOM, 2020 starts off great! The gym was doing well, people were learning, having fun training, and more. Then COVID-19 hit and the gym was forced to close down in March. It was devastating for business owners around the world, but I remember initially when the shut down happened we thought it was only affect us for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, we'd be able to reopen right? Wrong. 2 weeks passed, then another 2 weeks, then a month, and still no sign of reopening. The government was offering PPP loans and EIDL loans and more but unfortunately we were unable to receive any of that funding. Thankfully several members of Dynamite kept their memberships active and that helped us weather the storm a bit but ultimately Dynamite needed to close. All throughout the pandemic, I had fallen into a depression. My livelihood was taken away from me! And when I had to close up shop, it was even worse. However, God had bigger plans for me! My wife and I decided to move out of Chicago and head down to Greenville, South Carolina. We wanted to move out of Chicago several years ago, before I opened Dynamite. However, I really wanted to see what would happen if I opened my gym. And the gym flourished for many years before closing. Once it closed though, we knew that's when we had to take that leap of faith! And we are so happy we did. We arrived in the beginning of September and got settled in. We're doing great and we have a bunch of great things on the horizon! While my wife and I miss our family and friends back in Chicago, Greenville has been a blessing and we look forward to planting roots here! As far as Dynamite Kickboxing is concerned, I'm in the final stages of negotiation to open in a brand new location here in Greenville! I'm extremely excited to get back to my life's passion and share it with the Upstate of South Carolina! On top of that, I am getting back to my digital outlets as well! I'm dropping this blog today, but beginning Monday I will be putting out my Combo of the Day clips again, Film Study Fridays, Technique Tuesdays, and more! Fight analysis, fight predictions, the Dynamite Kickboxing Podcast, and more! I've been planning everything out for months and I'm ready to give you all the best Kickboxing content in the world! In closing, 2020 has been both the best of times and the worst of times, but just like fighting, you have to keep pushing through to win! The gym will be up and running again late 2020/early 2021 and I'm going to be pumping out a TON of content! The future is bright!!! Thanks for tuning in and rocking with me. I'm excited to share with you all, stay tuned! -RD |
