DYNAMITE KICKBOXING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I have no previous experience, can I train at Dynamite Kickboxing?
Of course you can! Most of our members come in with no previous martial arts experience. During your first class, Coach Raul will work with you on the fundamental skills and you will quickly be able to experience how fun and rewarding our classes can be.
Do I have to fight?
Not at all. In fact, only a small percent of our students have a desire to compete and we have special classes designed for those students. The majority of our members train for fitness, fun, recreation, and self-defense.
I want to become a fighter, how should I start?
For an aspiring fighter, your technique needs to be more polished than the recreational student. Start training in our regular classes and focus on perfecting your technique. When you are ready, Coach Raul will let you know.
Do you offer training for children?
Yes, we have a variety of classes for kids ages 6 to 17. For more information on our youth programs, reach out to Coach Raul.
Do you offer private training?
Yes, we specialize in one-on-one training. From beginner to advanced, amateur to pro, fitness to fighting, we got you covered! Some members prefer learning in a one-on-one environment, some want to focus on technique, and some members want to prepare for competition. No matter the reason, we're ready for you!
This looks dangerous, do people get hurt training?
Our top priority in all of our classes is the safety of our members. Although injuries do sometimes happen, the injury rate in martial arts training is often less than in other sports/activities.

TESTIMONIALS
The short review:
Dynamite Kickboxing is Raul. Raul is awesome. Therefore, Dynamite Kickboxing is awesome.
The long review:
I had never kickboxed before going to Dynamite Kickboxing. I was previously a member of a big-name gym chain to get some exercise, but I dreaded going because it was always insanely crowded and there were broken machines everywhere. I eventually stopped going and could tell I was getting out of shape. Enter Dynamite Kickboxing.
I discovered Dynamite Kickboxing here on Yelp and I decided to check it out. I'm really glad I did because going to Dynamite Kickboxing has been a great experience (physically and mentally).
After 6 months of going to classes at Dynamite, I'm now in better shape than I've been in many years. Raul is an extremely knowledgeable instructor. One of the great things Raul does is to make every class different. Each week is a different theme (e.g. Thai kickboxing, Dutch kickboxing, combinations with knees, kicking fundamentals, etc.), and each class is a variation on that theme. If you get easily bored on a cardio machine in gyms like I do, it's great to stimulate my brain while I'm working out and learning a new skill. Plus, after a stressful day of work, it's nice to throw some kicks and punches at some pads. Class sizes range from 2 to 10 people, so it never gets too crowded.
If you are reading this, you must be at least somewhat interested in kickboxing. You might as well check out a class at Dynamite Kickboxing, because you might get addicted like I did.

I had zero experience with kickboxing when I signed up for the 6 month session at Dynamite. I mean zero. By the end of that 6 month session, my confidence had grown ten fold! Initially I was only in it for the work out, but there was so much more I discovered about this sport. It was such a great experience. Raul was seriously the BEST teacher ever. He was so kind and patient helping me learn, and all the other experienced people in the class were just as awesome. I would recommend it to anyone, beginner or pro. 10 out of 10, easily.

I’ve been training for 13 years, and I can honestly say this is one of the finest instructors one could learn the art of Muay Thai, Kicking Boxing, and the related / necessary fitness routines associated with those sports. Raul’s system, yes he has a systematic approach to teaching you, is simply fantastic. The vibe in the gym is friendly and fun, there is no ego or anything approaching intimidating. If you really want to learn these sports; go see Raul. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.
